Pork Apple Pie

Title: Pork Apple Pie

2 lb Pork loin; boned, cubed
3 md Apples, peeled; cored, cubed
1 1/2 ts Sage
2 ts Salt
Ground pepper
1 c Apple cider
3 tb Sugar
2 tb Butter
Pastry dough
1 Egg; slightly beaten
Recipe by: Sue Klapper Preparation Time: 1:30 Combine pork, apples, sage,
salt and pepper in deep bowl and toss until thoroughly mixed. Spread
mixture evenly in 9" glass pie plate. Pour cider over. Sprinkle sugar on
top. Dot with butter. Drape pastry dough carefully over pie. Trim off
excess dough, crimp edges. Cut 1 1" vent in center. Brush surface with a
few T. of beaten egg. Bake pie in 350 for 1 1/2 hours or until crust in
golden brown, brushing the top twice more with beaten egg. Serve in baking
