Fisherman's Catch Chowder

1 pound fish (up to 1 1/2 lbs) -- * see note
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/4 cup snipped parsley
1/4 teaspoon rosemary
1 16 oz can whole tomatoes -- mashed
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 8 oz bottle clam juice
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons butter or margarine -- melted
1/3 cup light cream
*use any combination of the following: flounder, ocean perch, pike, rainbow tr
out, haddock, or halibut
Cut cleaned fish into 1-inch pieces. Combine all ingredients except flour, but
ter, and crea in Crock-Pot; stir well. Cover and cook on Low for 7 to 8 hours
or on High for 3 to 4 hours.
One hour before serving, combine flour, butter and cream. Stir into fish mixtu
re. Continue to cook until mixture is slightly thickened.
Serves 4.
