1 c -sugar
1 c Applesauce
1/3 c -vegetable oil
1 ts -baking soda
1/2 ts -baking powder
1/2 ts -ground cinnamon
2 Eggs
3 ts -milk
2 c -sifted flour
1/4 ts -salt
1/4 ts -ground nutmeg
3/4 c Pecans; chopped

1/4 c Brown sugar; packed
1/4 c Pecans; chopped
1/4 ts -ground cinnamon
I made this gem yesterday and just HAD to share the recipe with all of you.
It's DELICIOUS and so right for the holidays that are just around the
corner. (Can that be?) In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine sugar,
applesauce, oil, eggs and milk. Sift together flour, soda, baking powder,
cinnamon, salt and nutmeg. Add to applesauce mixture and beat until well
combined. Stir in pecans. Turn batter into well greased loaf baking pan.
For topping, combine brown sugar, cinnamon and pecans. Sprinkle evenly over
batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cap loosely with foil after the
first 30 minutes of baking. Remove from pan and cool on rack. Source:
