6 quarts cucumbers -- sliced
1/2 cup pickling salt
1 can pimento
3 sweet red peppers
3 onions
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 quart cider vinegar
2 teaspoons mustard seed
5 cups sugar

Combine sliced cucumbers and 1/2 cup salt. Cover with water and let stand at l
east 3 hours. Drain. Chop pimento, pepper and onions. Add remaining ingredie
nts and cucumbers. Boil together 10 minutes. Can hot and seal. Makes 8 pints.
