Green Salad with Strawberries

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 1/2 cups carmelized pecans -- coarsely chopped
10 cups leaf lettuce
--OR mixed baby greens
1/2 pint strawberries -- quartered
4 medium green onions -- sliced
***DRESSING***
1/4 cup raspberry vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup olive oil

Combine salad ingredients and toss.

DRESSING: Combine dressing ingredients and shake or stir well.

Just before serving, pour 1/2 the dressing over salad. Serve remainder of dress
ing on the side.

NOTES : This is really best if you do use carmelized pecans. Some grocery store
s have them in the produce section, or you can make your own. Or you can try su
bstituting honey-roasted peanuts or sugared walnuts. Also, you can substitute m
andarin oranges for the strawberries, if strawberries are not in season.
