Broccoli Rabe With Olive Oil And Garlic

1 bunch (about 1 1/2 pounds) broccoli rabe -- rinsed, thick end

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 garlic clove -- cut into thin

1 pinch red hot pepper flakes
Fill a large wide saucepan with water; heat to boiling. Add the broccoli rabe a
nd salt ; boil until tender, 6 to 8 minutes. Drain immediately. Wipe the pan dr
y. Add the oil, garlic and red pepper flakes to the saucepan. Heat over low hea
t, stirring, until warmed and garlic begins to sizzle, about 5 minutes. Stir th
e broccoli rabe into the warm oil to coat. Serve at once.
