1/3 C. light or dark corn syrup
1/3 C. strong coffee
1/4 C. ketchup
1/4 C. cider vinegar
1/4 C. Worcestershire sauce
4 Tsp. chili powder -- (4 to 6)
1 Tbsp. corn oil
2 Tsp. dry mustard
1/2 Tsp. salt
1/8 Tsp. hot pepper sauce
In 1-quart saucepan, stir together corn syrup, coffee,
ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, corn oil,
mustard, salt and hot pepper sauce. Stirring frequently, bring
to boil over medium-high heat and boil 5 minutes. Brush on
chicken, pork chops, spareribs or steak during last 20 minutes
of grilling, turning and basting frequently with sauce. Makes
about 1 1/2 cups sauce.
