Apple Gingerbread Squares

Title: Apple Gingerbread Squares

1 Gingerbread mix
4 lg Apples; peeled and sliced
1/4 c Sugar
1/4 ts Mace
1/4 ts Cloves
1/4 ts Cinnamon
1/4 ts Nutmeg
2 1/4 tb Butter; melted

Recipe by: Sue Klapper Preparation Time: 1:00 Prepare gingerbread according
to directions on package. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 12 baking pan.
Arrange apple slices over gingerbread batter. In small bowl combine sugar,
mace, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg; sprinkle over apples. Drizzle with
melted butter. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Cool slightly and cut in squares.
Serve with dollop of whipped cream if desired. Source: Favorite Apple
