Applesauce Puff

4 slices bread -- or plain cake
1 tablespoon margarine
1 1/2 cups applesauce
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup brown sugar -- omit if cake is used
1 cup skim milk
1/4 teaspoon salt

Sprread bread or cake with margarine and arrange in greased baking dish. Mix
applesauce, cinnamon and half the sugar. Beat egg, milk and rest of sugar and
pour over. Set in pan of hot water and bake 40 min. at 350F.
