Oat Breakfast
STEEL-CUT OAT BREAKFAST (Teri's variation)
2-3 portions
1 1/3 Cup Water
1 Cup Steel Cup Oats
1 tsp Blackstrap Mollasses
1/2 cup dried currants
1/4 cup crushed pineapple
1 tsp cinammon
1 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp brown sugar
Boil water, oats, mollasses, currants, sugar. Turn down flame.
Add remaining ingredients. Stir occasionally.
Remove when all liquid has been absorbed - around 15-20 minutes.
Serve hot.
For a nice creamy texture, mix in some solid-pack pumpkin after
removing from the heat.
