4 pounds beef roast
1 package Lipton onion dry soup mix
1 can Campbell's cream of mushroom soup
1 can water
3 medium celery stalks -- cut 1/4 to 1/2 inch
3 medium carrots
8 medium potatoes -- quartered
Place all ingredients except potatoes into a stock pot and cook on low
heat about two hours. Turn heat up to medium low and add potatoes (add
about one cup more water) and cook about three more hours. Potatoes and
extra water may be left out. Without potatoes and extra water cooking
time is still about five hours or until roast is tender.
Or you can place all ingredients into a crock pot including poatoes. Cook
on high until everything is tender.
