2 1 pound bread dough
1 medium onion -- chopped
1 tablespoon margarine
1/2 large head cabbage -- shredded
1 pound ground beef
margarine -- as needed
salt
pepper
Remove dough from refrigerator and let rise for 30-60 minutes at room
temperature. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Saute the onion in 1 tbs. margarine
until transparent. Add cabbage and cook until soft. Add beef, salt, and
pepper, and cook until browned. Roll out eachloaf of dough to approximately 1
foot long, 8 inches wide. Divide each loaf into 2 equal portions. Divide meat
mixture into 4 equal portions, and fill each center of dough with 1 portion of
meat. Fold the bottom and top edges of the dough into the cetner, seal and
fold
outer edges, and place foldside down on greased cookie sheet or baking tray.
Brush tops with butter or margarine. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes,
until bread is golden-brown. Remove from oven. Serve immediately.
