Cheese-Baked Chicken
Cheese flavored crackers to make 1 cup
fine cracker crumbs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. marjoram
1 egg
1 Tbl. water
4 chicken breasts, split, boned and skinned
1/3 c. melted butter
Between waxed paper crush cheese flavored crackers into very fine crumbs
with rolling pin (about 1 cup). Mix well with salt, garlic salt, and
marjoram. Place in a shallow dish
Beat egg and water well in another dish. Dip pieces of chicken in egg,
drain a little, and coat well in the crumb mixture. Let sit on wax paper
15 minutes.
Place in lightly buttered, shallow pan about 1 inch apart. Drizzle with
remaining butter. Bake in (350 degree) moderate oven about 30 to 35
minutes or until golden brown and done throughout.
