Skillet Corn Bread

1 Can whole kernel corn with sweet peppers -- (12 oz.)
4 Tbsp. butter
2/3 C. milk
1 1/4 C. yellow cornmeal
3/4 C. all-purpose flour
1/4 C. sugar
2 1/2 Tsp. baking powder
3/4 Tsp. salt
Measure corn (1/2 cup); set aside. Melt butter in
skillet. Spoon 2 tablespoons butter into melted bowl, with
fork. Stir in milk, egg and remaining corn with its liquid.
Mix corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir milk
into corn meal mixture just to moisten. Pour corn meal into
skillet. Sprinkle corn on top. Cover and cook 25 to 30
minutes.
