White Chocolate Nut Cookies

1 c Golden crisco shortening
2 tb Milk
3/4 c Firmly-packed brown sugar
1/2 c Granulated sugar
1 Egg
1 1/2 ts Vanilla
1 3/4 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
6 oz White chocolate baking bar
Cut into 1/4 inch pieces
1 c Coarsely-chopped nuts
=almond/ pecan or macadamia
1. Heat oven to 375F (190C).
2. Cream Golden Crisco Shortening and milk in large bowl at
medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.
3. Add brown and granulated sugar gradually. Beat in egg
and vanilla.
4. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to creamed
mixture. Mix well.
5. Stir in white chocolate and nuts.
6. Drop level measuring tablespoonfuls (15 mL) of dough 2
inches (5 cm) apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
7. Bake at 375F (190C) for 8 minutes. Cool on baking
sheet one minute. Remove to cooling rack.
Makes: 5 dozen 2-inch (5 cm) cookies
