1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups flour
***TOPPING***
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup nuts -- optional
Cream shortening; gradually add sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add
vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together. Add alternately with sour
cream. Pour in 1/2 batter into loaf pan; sprinkle 1/2 topping over it
and swirl with knife. Repeat. Bake at 325° for 60 minutes. Makes 1
loaf.
