Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 Large Egg
1 1/2 Cups Seasoned Mashed Potatoes -- Cold
1/4 Cup Cheddar Cheese,Shredded
2 Tablespoons Flour
2 Tablespoons Onion -- Minced
1/8 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
1/3 Cup Dry Bread Crumbs
3 Tablespoons Margarine
In a medium bowl, lightly beat egg. Add mashed potatoes, cheese, flour,
onion, garlic salt and pepper, stirring until well blended. Place crumbs on a
piece of waxed paper. With floured hands, shape one-fourth of the potato
mixture into a 4 inch diameter patty. Coat both sides of patty with crumbs;
set aside. Repeat with remaining potato mixture and crumbs. In a large
skillet over medium heat, cook patties in margarine until crusty and browned
on each side. Reduce heat if patties are browning too quickly.
Serve immediately or place, uncovered, in a preheated 200 degree oven to
keep warm. From: Potato Lovers Cookbook
