3 Tbsp Chopped Licorice Root
1 Fifth Vodka
6 Oz sugar sy

Let the chopped licorice root marinate in the vodka for one week. Strain
through cheesecloth and add the sugar syrup. According to Mr. Farrell,
the aftertaste is somewhat bitter at first but improves a little when the
mixture has been aged for about three months.
