Foolproof Chocolate Fudge

Title: Foolproof Chocolate Fudge

18 oz Semi-sweet chocolate chips
14 oz Sweetened condensed milk
A dash salt
1 1/2 ts Vanilla extract
1/2 c Chopped nuts; optional
In heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt chips with Eagle
Brand. Remove from heat, stir in remaining ingredients.
Spread evenly into wax paper lined 8 inch square pan.
Chill 2 to 3 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting
board, peel off paper and cut into squares. Store loosely
covered at room temperature.
I usually melt the chips and Eagle Brand in the
microwave. I also use less vanilla as I have the strong
pure vanilla that I bought in Mexico. A little goes a
long way with that!
